A live rugby scoreboard your volunteers can run
Tries with the scorer’s photo, conversions, penalties, sin-bin timers and your sponsors, on the LED screen at the ground or the TV in the clubhouse. Whoever’s free on the day scores it from their phone.
What the crowd sees
Every score fills the screen for a few seconds in the scoring side’s colours, then the scoreboard comes back with the clock still running.
A try puts the scorer on the big screen
The scorer taps the player’s face on their phone, and the player’s photo, name and number go up with the new score.
Conversions, penalties and drop goals flash up too, so nobody at the far end of the ground is left asking what happened.

Sin bins and the clock, handled
Yellow cards count down by themselves next to the team’s name. At 40 and 80 minutes the clock turns red, so everyone knows the half ends when the ball next goes dead.

Full time, bonus points and all
The result, each side’s try scorers and any bonus points, for league or cup matches. A home win gets confetti.
Before kick-off, the screen can show both team sheets with today’s shirt numbers.

Scored from a phone
At most clubs it’s a different volunteer every week. They scan a QR code, and big buttons for try, conversion, penalty and drop goal do the rest.
Built for the touchline
Tap the score as the referee gives it and the screen updates straight away. Made for cold hands in the rain, with nothing small to aim at.

Nothing to install
It runs in the phone’s web browser. Scan the QR code and you’re scoring.
Mistakes undo
Tapped the wrong team? One tap takes the last score back off the screen.
Hand over any time
Someone else can take over on their own phone with the match’s 4-digit PIN.
Something new for your sponsors
Sponsor logos take turns along the bottom of the scoreboard all match, go full screen at the breaks, and match day sponsors get every other slot. Short adverts or club news can play at half-time.
Sold to local businesses, run from Studio
Change the line-up in Studio and it’s on the screen straight away.

Questions clubs ask
Does it work for women’s, men’s and junior rugby?
Yes. Add every team at your club in Studio, each with its own squad and photos. Your club decides whose photos go in, and a player with no photo still gets the celebration, just without the picture.
Do we need an LED screen?
No. Matchlight shows on anything with an HDMI input, so a TV in the clubhouse works well. An outdoor LED screen at the pitch is the full experience.
What about our league opponents?
Add your league’s clubs once, with their crests and colours, and pick them before each match. Cup opponents can be typed in on the day.
What happens if the internet drops?
The screen keeps showing the score and the clock keeps running. The scorer’s phone reconnects by itself, and the screen catches up with anything scored in the meantime.
What about rugby league and sevens?
They’re planned. Tell us your format when you register.
Bring Matchlight to your club
We’re opening Matchlight to a small group of founding clubs first. Register your interest and we’ll be in touch with pricing and next steps.
